Michel Demont

I was born 1969 in Tahiti. Started bodysurf with my parents at the age of 5 years and since 1979 I am surfing.

My career as professional surfer:
- 1984 champion de Tahiti (under 16years)
- Champion de France 1985
- 2 times finalist junior devision 1987
- 1991 starting long board division (champion Tahiti)
- World champion ISA Tour 1994 in Brasil (long board)
- 3rd in the world ASP Tour 1995
- First place Biarrizt Festival 1996
- 6 times European champion 1994-2001, 2007
- Many times champion in Tahiti (Longboard)
- First place Oceania Cup Samoa Islands 2006
- South Pacific champion 2007
- Champion de Tahiti 2009

California, Costa Rica, Spain, England, Portugal, Hawaii
Many other competitions around the world to come.

In 2001 I have made the government-certified first level diploma in surfing and in 2007 the second level diploma (master).

I am coach for the Tahitien selection (16 -18 years) for physical and technical preparation.
